Local businessman, Wally Lerro had a vision for a unique bar and eatery with an outdoor tropical setting on Wildwoods main commercial thoroughfare. Lerro, a respected Wildwood hotel and restaurant operator whose properties include: the landmark Bolero Resort, the Oceanic Hotel, the Oceanview Motel, and Blue Water Grille and Restaurant, wanted to create an outdoor, tropical atmosphere on Pacific Ave. Lerro said, "Wildwood is a seashore resort that needs more eateries where visitors can enjoy the summer weather." The entire front of The Deck is open at street level with a canopy for inclimate weather. Inside on the first floor is an updated, old Irish, pub style bar that has 15 large flat screen tv's that adorn the walls making it a terrific destination for watching your favorite sporting events.
